About the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain API
Why is the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface needed?
The alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface is provided to facilitate the Alipay overseas acquirers to timely and accurately report the secondary merchant information to Alipay. According to the Management Rules for Alipay Overseas Acquirers, all Alipay overseas acquirers need to report the related information of the secondary merchants to Alipay in time, especially the secondary merchant transaction information that complies with Alipay rules.
Do I need to make reports for all the secondary merchants or only for the recently joined secondary merchants?
You need to make reports for all your secondary merchants that were not reported to Alipay in an offline channel or by the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface, no matter when they joined the Alipay system. It is strongly recommended to report the merchant information by calling the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface. After January 31, 2019, the offline channel is not to be supported and merchant information can be reported only through the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface.
How often do I need to report the information of secondary merchants?
You need to report the information of all the secondary merchants only once when they were added to the system. No daily updates needed. However, if the secondary merchant information has been changed, you need to update the reported information by calling the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface again.
When calling the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface, which are the parameters that must be consistent with those in the payment interface?
The following parameters are the parameters that must be consistent with those in the payment interface when calling the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface:
- The secondary_merchant_id field
- The secondary_merchant_name field
- The secondary_merchant_industry field
- The refer_url field, which needs to be consistent with the URL information in the site_infos.site_url field.
How can I modify the reported information?
If you find that the reported information was incorrect or out-of-date, you can make an update to the reported information by calling the alipay.overseas.secmerchant.online.maintain interface again and submit the latest information. The latest information can overwrite the previous information. Only the following fields can be updated: the secondary_merchant_name filed, the register_country field, the register_address field, and the site_infos field.
- The partner_id plus secondary_merchant_id composes a unique code that identifies the merchant. Therefore, the partner_id and secondary_merchant_id fields cannot be modified once submitted.
- The secondary_merchant_industry field cannot be modified once submitted.
- The site_infos field contains a large amount of sub-content. If the content to be updated is only part of it, the other unmodified parts need to remained.
Why do the refer_url field in the payment interface is required parameters?
In order to ensure the compatibility of the existing acquiring interface, you need to pass the URL information of the transaction through the refer_url field.
